The official premier for our film will be taking place at Colorado Kayak Supply's Paddlefest May 22 in Buena Vista, CO. It'll be free admission but we will be accepting donations. We will be giving out goodies to the audience from our sponsors Badfish Stand up Paddle, Nectar Shades, Werner Paddles, and Skoop. We want all of you there to share this very important moment with us.
It starts as a dream, an idea, something you only halfway think will come to fruition. It's always a little bit of a surprise when it does. I look back at the late night conversations filled with planning and excitement and I can't help but feel a sense of pride and gratification. And you realize the only person ever saying no to your dreams is yourself.
This film was made with one DSLR camera and a handful of GoPros. Heather, filmed and edited the entire thing herself while finishing up her senior year as a video production major. She is so impressive and driven, proof that you can do anything you really put your mind to. A perfect example of a strong, successful, creative, and beautiful woman. Without her, this film may still be nothing more than a pipe dream buried under the rubble of many others.
I have been in and out of college and have had my fair share of customer service jobs. I'm restless and with a thirst to do something monumental. There aren't many things in my life that I've finished or followed through with. But my love for the outdoors, paddling, and surfing has been and will continue to be a constant in my life. That love has brought nothing but positivity into my existence and has given me purpose.
I've said it a million times and I'll say it a million more, thank you to everyone who supported, inspired, nurtured, and encouraged us along our journey. This would not have happened without you and I hope you will be inspired by our journey.
